The West has a great desire to carry out "a Maidan" in Serbia and the Balkans, said the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, commenting on the situation in Serbia after the elections.

"All those supposed (opposition) rallies are not rallies at all, but simply taking people to the streets to achieve the goals that are not in line with democratic processes, and with the goal of promoting Western interests by using unconstitutional means that contradict internal laws.
