Strong hailstorm hits Srem: Watch hazelnut-sized hails come down

This afternoon, a strong thunderstorm hit parts of the northern Serbian region of Srem. Locally there were also very heavy showers with thunder.

The storm was most intense in the central part of Srem, in the area of Hrtkovci near Ruma, with hailstones the size of hazelnut.

It is currently not known whether the storm caused any damage.

Earlier, a deluge was reported in Prijepolje, leaving the town's center under water.

Storms are raging throughout Serbia this afternoon, and more are expected by the end of the day. Unfortunately, this weather will continue in the coming days.
