Albin Kurti's party loses in Pristina: Serb List wins in Klokot

The Democratic League of Kosovo has declared victory in Pristina, Pec, Vitina, Dragas and Junik in the second round of local elections held in Kosovo and Metohija, while in the first round, they already won in Lipljan and Istok.

"With a total of seven municipalities, the Democratic League of Kosovo is the party that will be in power in the largest number of municipalities," its leader Lumir Abdixhiku told a news conference

The leader of the Self-Determination, Albin Kurti, arrived at the headquarters of his party in Pristina after the polls closed. Journalists asked him to comment on the results of exit polls, but he initially refused to make any statements, Kosovo Online reported.

Elek: Serb List's historic victory

Leader of the Serb List Zlatan Elek announced that a great and historic victory of this party and the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija was achieved on Sunday.

"Tonight, a more than excellent result was completed - the Serb List has convincingly won in the municipality of Klokot with 948 votes or 90.03 percent of the valid ballots, and therefore, in all ten municipalities with a Serb majority, where our people will have mayors and a majority of councilors in local assemblies," he said.

The Serb List's candidate for Klokot municipality president, Bozidar Dejanovic, declared victory of this party in the second round of local elections held in Kosovo and Metohija on Sunday.

He stated that Klokot is the 10th municipality that will have a mayor from the ranks of the Serb List.

"I want to declare the victory of the Serb List, this is the victory of Serb unity, the Serb people. The municipality of Klokot is the 10th municipality that got a mayor from the Serb List," he said.

Dejanovic pointed out that as the president of the municipality, he will work to make life better for all citizens of this local self-government.

"I want to inform the citizens that our work will benefit all people, our municipality and our citizens. This is a victory for Serb unity. Long live the Serb List," Dejanovic said.
