Vasiljevic: Focus the exchange of experiences and strengthening of special police units of Serbia and Austria
The director of the Police of the Republic of Serbia, Police General Dragan Vasiljevic, met today in Belgrade with Austria's Director-General for Public Safety in the Ministry of the Interior Franz Ruf, to discuss current security challenges and improvement of the very good and open cooperation in the fight against all types of crime.
On this occasion, both sides stressed the importance of partnership relations between the two police services, which is reflected in successful operational cooperation and joint participation in regional initiatives.
They agreed that there is additional space for improving bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
A special emphasis was placed on the exchange of experiences and good practices, as well as on the further strengthening of cooperation between special police units, which will contribute to a more effective response to the most complex security challenges.
Vasiljevic and Ruf confirmed their full commitment to continuing and deepening cooperation with the aim of strengthening security in the region and elsewhere in Europe.
