The president of European Athletics Association Hansjorg Virc transffered the flag to Serbian delegation. The transfer was done in Prague where our athletes won two medals (Asmir Kolasinac won the silver, Ivana Spanovic won the gold).
The Athletic Federation of Serbia presented Belgrade as a host to European Championships in 2017.
Sinisa Mali: Ivana and Asmir's medals are the best introduction to European Championships 2017 in Belgrade!
- I am glad that I had the opportunity to be a part of this competition in Prague which was at the highest level of organisation. Serbia is the land of Sport, and Belgrade proved once more to be the good host and organizer of great sports manifestations. Therefore, we will give our best to conduct this event at the level it deserves.
