Apology is not enough, Vucic's attackers should be arrested

- Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has said, in relation to the attack on Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic in Potocari, that just an apology from Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) Bakir Izetbegovic and verbal condemnation are not enough, but rather authorities should arrest attackers and organizers

“We are demanding a full investigation; and not just an investigation without any result, but rather an arrest, and not only the arrest of direct perpetrators, but also organizers. This was an attempted murder and lynch of a prime minister of one state,” Dacic said for the Monday issue of Belgrade-based daily Kurir.

Dacic described as scandalous and provocative the statement by Director of the Directorate for Coordination of BiH Police Bodies Mirsad Vilic that the responsibility primarily lies with the prime minister's escort.

“We are urging their state bodies to do their job. This showed that all state bodies in BiH tasked to ensure security during the commemoration in Potocari failed the test,” he said.

“They were organizers of the commemoration, and they should not have let anything bad happen,” Dacic said.
