Cadez: Germany is among Serbia's main business partners

Since the year 2000, Germany has invested a total of EUR 1.6 billion in Serbia, and is one of our prime business partners, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Cadez said Tuesday

Cadez pointed out that Germany was at the top of the Serbia’s business partners list and was the biggest bilateral donor and one of the major foreign investors in our country.

For the past several months, German investors have been expanding their operations in Serbia, and we know about a contract to be signed with Continental, which will expand its facilities in Subotica, and will be exporting almost the entire Serbian production for BMW and Audi to Germany, Cadez said on a Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) talk show.

He pointed out that Hemofarm, owned by Germany’s Stada, had expanded its production recently.

Cadez believes there is potential to continue business cooperation and make new investments in the food industry, IT sector, tourism and the fashion industry.

A Serbia-Germany forum was set up a year ago and it has since helped strengthen economic cooperation, while Germany is looking at Serbia as partner country location, said Cadez.
