Srbijagas will also have collected payments from its debtors, so that EUR 60 million of Srbijagas’ prior liabilities will not have to be paid by funds from the budget, Vucic said.

Vucic: Serbia offers best investment conditions

It has been agreed with Srbijagas’ big gas debtor, Serbian Glass Factory, a private company, to pay their arrears in two installments no later than August 31, he said.

Vucic said that agreements had also been reached with the biggest public and private enterprises in the country to pay the Public Enterprise Electric Power Industry of Serbia (EPS) for the electric power they receive, something they had not been doing on a regular basis in the past.

Payments by public enterprises to public enterprises have not been controlled very much in the past, and now we are introducing supervision there as well.

The Serbian Railways will have to pay their debts to EPS and EPS to the Railways within 60 days from now, said Vucic.
