Italian escapes from quarantine in Croatia, tries to enter Serbia: Passengers placed in isolation

A Lasta carrier's bus traveling from Montenegro to Belgrade was stopped yesterday afternoon at the Spiljani border crossing with Montenegro, when an Italian citizen who had previously escaped from coronavirus quarantine in Croatia was discovered on board.

The bus then arrived in Novi Pazar, southwestern Serbia, for a preventive check-up of 12 passengers who traveled on it. The Italian national was sent back from the Spiljani border crossing.

The bus was traveling on the Kotor-Belgrade route, and in accordance with the measures currently in force, the Italian citizen was not allowed to enter Serbia. Other passengers on the bus were ordered to remain in home isolation.

According to the website Glas Pazara, the passengers are mostly Italian nationals.
