Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke on the phone on Thursday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who pledged assistance and support to the Serbian state and citizens of Serbia in the fight against coronavirus, which will also mean that Russia will be sending its doctors and experts to disinfect facilities.

The Presidency said the following in a statement:

- President Vucic thanked President Putin for thinking of Serbia and the friendly Serbian people, despite the numerous commitments and the crisis that has hit Russia and the world.

He said today's conversation was confirmation of extraordinary strategic relations and the closest friendship between the two countries, but also an indicator of mutual solidarity and mutual trust to fight together against a large, invisible enemy like COVID-19.

President Putin expressed his solidarity and pledged considerable assistance and support to the Serbian state and citizens of Serbia in the fight against coronavirus, which will also mean that Russia will send its doctors and experts to disinfect facilities.
