Starting today, another unstable period is ahead of us, with frequent local showers accompanied by thunder and brief storms, meteorologists are forecasting.

A sunny weekend with temperatures reaching 30 degrees centigrade has already been replaced with clouds and short-lasting showers in some parts of the country. According to the data of the Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia (RHMZ), it will be cooler, cloudy, with occasional rain and showers, especially in the north and west of the country during the day on Monday.

"In other parts of the country, it will be variably cloudy with local showers and thunderstorms, mostly during the afternoon. The wind will be weak and moderate, west and northwest, the lowest temperature will range from 13 to 18, and the highest from 23 to 28 degrees," RHMZ said.

And similar weather is forecast for Tuesday, but also for Wednesday and Thursday, according to RHMZ.

The wind will be weak and moderate, west and northwest, while the daily temperatures ranging from 20 to 25 degrees.

RHMZ said that until June 23, it will be variably cloudy, unstable, with frequent showers and thunderstorms.

The temperature will be close to average, in most places from 23 to 26 degrees Celsius.

Still no real summer

According to meteorologist Djordje Djuric, we will have local showers with thunderstorms for the whole week, while there will be heavy rainfall and hail in places.

"Variably cloudy with showers and thunderstorms, is the weather that awaits us all week. It will be cooler today and tomorrow, and then the temperature will rise in the following days. However, there is still no real summer yet," Djuric has told Telegraf.rs.

The meteorologist stressed that sun, rain, showers and thunderstorms will be taking turn, which makes the weather unstable.

"The feature of our climate is a rainy June. It is the rainiest month of the year, which one wouldn't think because these are downpours that fall in a very short period of time," explains the meteorologist.

Serbia in the yellow meteoalarm weather warning

Due to the unstable weather in the coming days, a yellow meteoalarm has been issued for the entire territory of Serbia, which means that the weather can be (potentially) dangerous.

The weather phenomena that are forecast are not uncommon, but caution is needed if you are planning activities that are exposed to meteorological risks. People are advised to stay informed about expected meteorological conditions.
