Incredible video of Sjenica Lake swallowing 2 cars: People just stand by, watching helplessly

A terrible, unreal and somewhat strange sight of sinking cars was recorded yesterday at Sjenica Lake - fortunately, the accident didn't produce any casualties.

There were a few more vehicles on the shore, and the people who found themselves there were just silently watching this unreal scene.

The video was taken by Rekac Hajradinovic, who said he happened to be at the scene of the accident.

"Probably the white car gave way from the shore and hit the gray one, so they both went into the lake. The locals later pulled out the cars thanks to a diver and many others who came to the rescue," this eyewitness told the daily Blic.

Boats and divers soon reached the place where the lake "swallowed" the cars, the vehicles were pulled out, and the most important thing is that there were no casualties.

Sjenica Lake is located on the northern edge of the Pester Plateau, 6 kilometers from Sjenica, between the mountains Javor and Zlatar.

The lake lies at 985 meters above sea level, is 25 kilometers long and up to 108 meters deep.
