Kosovo issue to be on UN Security Council agenda for October

During its presidency over the UN Security Council. Russia will hold talks about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, Syria, Yemen and the Middle East process, spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova has announced.

"Among the important issues on the SC agenda for October, we would like to stress the discussion about political and humanitarian aspects of the situation in Syria, the state of affairs in Kosovo and Metohija, the Middle East peace process," she said, reports TASS.

As she stated, other important events during the Russian presidency over the UN Security Council are ministerial discussions about the situation in the Persian Gulf and the annual open discussions about women, peace and security.
