Croatian capital Zagreb alone has more new Covid cases than the whole of Serbia: A new record

With 231 people infected with coronavirus, Zagreb is still the city with most new cases, says the director of the Teaching Institute for Public Health "Andrija Stampar," Zvonomir Sostar.

In Zagreb, 898 people are in self-isolation.

On Thursday and Wednesday, the number of daily new coronavirus cases in Zagreb was 211.

Otherwise, a record 793 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Croatia yesterday, while 10 people died, the most since the beginning of the epidemic.

New data from the National HQ is expected.

The HQ and experts in Croatia are set to determine clear numerical criteria for the four levels of severity of the epidemic (green, yellow, orange and red), as well as a list of measures that will follow when these levels are reached, Zagrebacki List reported.

The exponential growth, which everyone fears, means that the number of infected people has doubled compared to the day before, which is what has been happening in the last four days in Croatia: 181 cases were confirmed on Monday, 372 on Tuesday, and 748 on Wednesday.

That number reached 793 on Thursday.
