Another 50,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine will be sent to Serbia from Russia on Sunday, Minister of Innovation and Technological Development Nenad Popovic has told Tanjug.

"I have just finished my conversation with our partners from the Russian Direct Investment Fund, who confirmed to me that 50,000 new Sputnik V vaccines will be shipped to Serbia on Sunday," said Popovic.

According to Popovic, Russia has not left us in the lurch, just as the deputy prime minister of Russia, Yuri Borisov, said during his visit to Belgrade.

"Our Russian partners assessed that the vaccination process in Serbia is organized excellently under the leadership of President Aleksandar Vucic," said Popovic.

He added that he is traveling to Moscow as soon as today, where he will continue talks on new deliveries of the vaccine and the start of production of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in Serbia.
