Patients with severe symptoms in Belgrade Arena, more and more of them are 20 to 30 years old

There are currently 290 patients in the temporary Covid hospital in Belgrade's Stark Arena, the medical coordinator of that hospital, Dr. Predrag Bogdanovic, said last night.

He added that there were 220 patients in there seven days ago, and that about 30 were admitted yesterday, while admissions were still in progress.

"We expect that there will be up to 50 new patients during the night, which means that we will be back to where we were in November, December, when we had 50 to 70 new patients a day," Bogdanovic told RTS.

He remarked that the patients who are treated in the Stark Arena exhibit severe clinical pictures.

"Serious complications of the infection, serious pneumonia, patients come in difficult general condition, with high factors of inflammation," said Bogdanovic and added that 85 percent of patients require oxygen therapy right away.

He added that in recent days, the hospital has increasingly had patients between the ages of 20 and 30, with very serious symptoms.
