Earlier this year, Zlatan Ibrahimovic decided to receive the coronavirus vaccine in Serbia. He inquired about the entire process with Red Star head coach Dejan Stankovic, everything had already been largely arranged, but the idea failed at the last minute, Srpski Telegraf has learned.

The reason is the leadership of the Milan football club, who forbade the Swede from traveling to Belgrade and receiving the first dose of the chosen vaccine. The club has a special protocol which forbids players from leaving Italy, so the agreement that Stankovic and Ibrahimovic reached will fall through and will not go ahead for now.

Otherwise, Zlatan is only one of many foreign citizens who have wish to be vaccinated in our country, which is at the very top in Europe in terms of the rate of citizens who have received at least one dose of the vaccine. However, the rigid protocols prescribed by Milan could not get out of the way, even when it comes to vaccination.

It is interesting to note that the president of the Italian football club Udinese previously got his coronavirus vaccine in Belgrade, with the help of Dejan Stankovic, but unfortunately that will not happen with Ibrahimovic, who visited the Serbian capital two months ago when Milan played against Red Star in the Europa League knockout phase. At that time, an unknown person insulted him based on ethnicity, so the club was later punished by UEFA, while Ibrahimovic himself urged the heads of UEFA to make the fine as low as possible.

Below you can see photos of Helena Seger, Zlatan's wife, who is 11 years older:
