Disastrous wedding near Knic: Groom ran away while bride was doing her hair

A groom allegedly simply decided to - ran away from his own wedding, that was to be held in the village of Cestin near Knic last weekend, Ucentar.rs portal is reporting.

Generations of people in Serbia's central Sumadija region cannot recall something like this happening in the Gruza area, but as soon as the bride went to fix her hair for the wedding ceremony, her husband to be disappeared without a trace!

Now, as it happens in our country, several versions of the event are circulating.

According to one, a friend came to pick him up on a motorbike and they drove off along a country road that had just been specially arranged for the wedding.

The couple reside in Belgrade. Both are in their 40s, while the bride was the one to pick Cestin, known for the monastery by the same name, the endowment of Despot Stefan Lazarevic, as the wedding location, considering that she has roots in this area.

All in all, things ended in a scandal... The tents and the food were ready, as guests were arriving from all over Serbia...
