A serious traffic accident allegedly happened on December 17 in Sabac, when a car hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. As we unofficially learned, the accident happened at an intersection near a bus station.

Telegraf learned that the blue Golf 4 was driven by J.J., 25, from Loznica, who works as a police officer in Belgrade. She was off duty at the time of the accident.

On that occasion, M.N., 21, suffered serious bodily injuries.

Witnesses are posting on social media that J.J. had ran a red light and hit the young woman at the pedestrian crossing. This information was confirmed by several Telegraf sources close to the investigation.

The young woman was taken to the Sabac hospital with life-threatening injuries. Allegedly, her condition is slowly improving, a source close to the her family stated for our portal.

As can be seen in the disturbing video posted on social networks, a pedestrian is waiting for the green light and at the moment when a car stops to let her cross the street, another vehicle coming from the opposite direction hits her at full speed, and then crashes into the car that had stopped. The pedestrian was thrown onto the first car.

A criminal complaint will be filed against the policewoman for a serious act against public traffic safety.
