Milan and Sladjana tried escape their son: Ilija killed them in their Cacak home after killing his grandfather

A crime of the kind that not even the oldest residents of Cacak can recall happened on Friday when Ilija Glisovic (21) murdered his mother, father and grandfather, and then fled the scene. The police arrested him ten hours later not far from the house. He chose to remain silent during the interrogation.

Glisovic is now being detained for up to 30 days.

The victims' son and grandson Nikola Glisovic found the three members of his family dead in the house.

"The young man called the police and said that the bodies of his parents were in the hallway of the house. That there was a lot of blood all around. However, it was only when the police arrived that his grandfather's body was also found in the bedroom. The front door was covered in blood. Nikola immediately told the police that the crime was most likely committed by his brother Ilija," says our source close to the investigation.

According to our information, the body of Svetlana (49) was found in the hallway of the house, and not far from her was Milan (57). The police found Sreten (87) dead in his bedroom.

The autopsies showed that three the three members of the Glisovic family were all murdered with a knife.

Ilija was previously brought in by the police for violent behavior, specifically for domestic violence, but also because of narcotics, and acquaintances of his family say that he spent a certain period of time in a special psychiatric hospital.

"A month ago, he was released from the hospital in Cacak, he was treated for drug addiction. He would often pull a knife on them," say the neighbors.

Punishment of up to 10 years

According to lawyer Lazar Petrovic, there are three possible outcomes of the suspect's trial.

"This case is specific because the law provides for the possibility that a perpetrator who has not reached the age of 21 during the trial can be tried as a juvenile, and in that case, the maximum sentence would be 10 years. If the prosecutor qualifies this crime as aggravated murder, and he is tried as an adult, he faces a sentence of at least 10 years to life in prison," lawyer Lazar Petrovic from Cacak, who is not involved in the case but hypothetically presented his analysis of this event, has told RINA.
