This year, there have been 1,416 cruise ship arrivals in Serbia while 134,946 passengers disembarked and embarked, which is three times more arrivals than in 2021.

There have been more than three times as many - 548 - dockings at the international passenger port in Belgrade.

368 dockings were recorded in Novi Sad, 264 in Donji Milanovac and 211 in Golubac, announced the Port Management Agency.

The data on the number of dockings indicates the recovery of the cruising-related industry in Serbia, according to the agency.

This year, the agency opened an international passenger port in Kostolac on the Danube to bring tourists closer to Viminacium and the Roman legacy in Serbia.

Funds have been invested in Sabac, Sremska Mitrovica and Veliko Gradiste-Ram.

For the next nautical season, the plan is to put into operation piers in Zemun, Sremska Mitrovica and Sabac, the agency announced.
