Albania-based media are reporting five were arrested in a major police operation, including Besnik Mujeci, a Self Determination councilor in Pristina. Shortly after the news came out, Berat Rukiqi reacted, publishing a photo of Mujeci with Albin Kurti's minister Xhelal Svecla, writes Vecernje Novosti.

On this occasion, the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, posted on Twitter that it is now much clearer under what influence Svecla was when he acted against Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.

"While Svecla is using any means to criminalizing Serbs in the north of Kosovo and Metohija without evidence, he secretly embraces drug dealers from Self Determination (Kurti's party)! Now it is much clearer under what influence he was when led the actions against the Serbs and the Serb List, and when he was overturning EULEX vehicles," wrote Petkovic.

Regarding the operation, the Albanian police announced during a news conference that based on the evidence obtained during the investigation, the following persons were arrested: Mithat Ramadani (30), Besnik Mujeci (40), both from Pristina, as well as Kalem Picari (24), Ambra Myftari (28) and Daniel Avdija (26), all three from Tirana.

The investigation has shown that these persons, using the tourist season, let shipments (of drugs) pass using the Pristina-Tirana bus routes. When the shipments arrived in Tirana, they were transported by rented cars around that town and to others, mostly on the coast. Exchange spots were designated in public places with a large movement and flow of people.

In order to reach agreements with distributors of synthetic drugs in Albania, they asked for advance payments and even left their vehicles as collateral. A vehicle has been confiscated, as well as five mobile devices, the Albanian police announced.
