Von der Leyen: Belgrade and Pristina should return to dialogue

European Commission head Ursula von der Leyen said in Tirana that Belgrade and Pristina should return to the negotiating table and assessed that the Ohrid agreement "is the basis for reconciliation through dialogue with the mediation of the EU."

At a joint press conference with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama ahead of the Summit of the Berlin Process, she said she expects so-called Kosovo and Serbia to become part of the EU, Euronews Albania reports.

"The Ohrid Agreement is the basis, the foundation for reconciliation through dialogue, which is facilitated by the EU. It is very important that Kosovo and Serbia return to the table in order to normalize relations. The right place for them is dialogue," she said.
