President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met today in Beijing with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.

After the meeting, bilateral documents were signed between the two countries. The most important is the free trade agreement signed by Minister of Trade Tomislav Momirovic and Wang Wentao, Minister of Commerce of China.

The agreement on free trade between Serbia and China will cover 10,412 Serbian tariff positions or products and 8,930 on the Chinese side.

In addition to that, a memorandum on exchange and cooperation in the field of economic development policy, a memorandum on joint improvement of industrial and investment cooperation between Serbia and China, as well as a medium-term action plan on joint development of the Belt and Road initiative between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of Serbia were signed.

The memorandum on exchange and cooperation in the field of economic development policy was signed by the Minister of Finance of Serbia Sinisa Mali and Chairman of the Chinese National Commission for Reform and Development Zheng Shanjie.

The meeting between the two presidents and the signing of the agreement, in addition to Mali and Momirovic, were also attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic, Minister of Defense Milos Vucevic, Minister of Culture Maja Gojkovic, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic, Minister of the Interior Bratislav Gasic, as well as Serbian Ambassador to China Maja Stefanovic.
