Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said last night that relations with Croatia will be better when they realize that Jasenovac (Croatian WW2 death camp for Serbs) is a disgrace and not something that should be forgotten.

He told TV Pink about relations in the region and added that he thinks that those with Montenegro are somewhat better than before, with Hungary and North Macedonia the best in history, while the Bulgarians resent us because we (Serbia) are more popular than they are in North Macedonia, Tanjug quotes him as saying.

"We have as decent relations with Albania as possible. (Prime Minister Edi) Rama was not at a recent wine fair (in Belgrade), but Albanian representatives came and some of their wines received awards. Their wine varieties are interesting, I don't like those wines from far away places. I like wines made by our Macedonian brothers. And Plantaze (Montengrin company) made a good wine," said Vucic.

Expulsion of Croatian diplomat matter for competent authorities

The president of Serbia said last night that he does not want to comment on the expulsion of a Croatian diplomat from Serbia and that it is a matter for the competent authorities.

"I didn't even mention it and I didn't want to talk about it, because I thought it was a matter of a professional approach. (Of) two serious services like the Serbian and the Croatian," he said.

Vucic added that he does not want to comment on Vojislav Seselj's statement on this topic and added that he only thinks that it is a shame for those people who did it.

"I'm not going to talk about any names. There is no doubt that whoever puts the interests of their country in the hands of another country, especially one that does not behave in a friendly manner towards your country... The competent authorities must see who the culprit is, and whether that is disgraceful or not, it certainly is," he said.

The president also commented on the current authorities in Croatia, where the president and the prime minister are not from the same political party, and added that the situation here would be much worse.

"It would be much worse with us, so I don't know what we would achieve. Many ministers live for campaigns, some people get replaced," he said.
