Minister of Foreign Affairs and First Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said that on Thursday he spoke with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov about the most important issues that are of vital importance for Serbia, such as energy and gas supply.

"You know that a friendly football match is being played between Russia and Serbia, and in those communications I had with Minister Lavrov when heard from each other about the Security Council's session dedicated to Kosovo and Metohija, he invited me to watch the game together, and I came (to Moscow) at his invitation," Dacic told the press.

He added that he discussed numerous bilateral issues with Lavrov and thanked him once again for his firm and principled stance regarding Kosovo and Metohija.

"It is of vital importance for us. It is of vital importance that we know that, in the Security Council, we have one certain vote that will always be against Kosovo's independence and that will always support Serbia's territorial integrity," said Dacic.

Dacic stressed that relations between Serbia and Russia rely on a very high level of mutual trust and personal relations between President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
