A sudden change in the weather happened in Serbia last night, and in some parts of the country it was already snowing this morning. There was snow on Mt. Fruska Gora, with similar videos coming from other parts of the country as well.

Snow cover forms on Mt. Zlatibor

Instagram account 192.rs reported there was snow on Mt. Zlatibor, where a white cover had already formed. Videos posted on social networks show that it is also snowing in Cacak.

Heavy rain during the morning turned into sleet and snow in Western Serbia, and a snow cover has already formed on Mt. Zlatibor, reports RINA.

"We read the forecast and knew the weather would get colder, but we really didn't expect snow. On Zlatibor, pastures and meadows have turned white, there are a few centimeters of snow on certain parts of the road," Jovan Nikolic, who was caught by the snowfall on the road from Cacak to Prijepolje, told RINA.

This April snow has not yet caused traffic problems, and if the intensity of the precipitation increases, companies maintaining roads will send out crews to clear them.

Scenes of a true winter fairy tale are arriving from Borova Glava, where visibility is reduced.

Morning temperatures today will range from 6 to 12°C, with maximum of 8°C in the western parts to 17°C in the southern parts of Serbia.

On Thursday, it will be cloudy and cold with rain and showers, and snow on the mountains.

On Friday and Saturday, it will be partly cloudy, dry in most areas, with rain in the south, and snow on the higher mountains.

On Sunday, it will rain in most areas, with a strong northwesterly wind. The maximum temperature until the end of the week will range mostly from 11 to 17°C.
