Serb List reacts to arrest of another member of Serbian MUP who lives in Kosovo

Another member of the Serbian MUP was detained detained on Wednesday at the Konculj administrative crossing - police officer J.A. from the town of Strelica in the municipality of Kosovska Kamenica, in Kosovo and Metohija.

The Serb List reacted with a a statement we are carrying in full.

"By expelling Serb police officers who were born and have lived in Kosovo and Metohija for decades, by issuing warrants and interrogating dozens of Serbs because of peaceful protests held in 2022 or as Pristina calls them, the barricades, as well as by announcing the construction of two bridges over the Ibar, Albin Kurti is rapidly and openly implementing the plan of ethnic cleansing of the Serb people from the territory of Kosovo and Metohija.

This is institutional violence that exerts unprecedented pressure on honorable Serbs who will not renounce their Serb name, who do not want to be Kurti's servants and who are now a target only because they are Serbs.

It is disgraceful and worrying that there is no reaction from international missions and institutions - EU, Quint, UNMIK and KFOR - which, according to their mandates, should prevent this kind of behavior and protect basic human rights.

The passive stance of the international community is nothing more than complicity in the ethnic cleansing of the Serb people from their centuries-old homes, in the 21st century Europe.

This is not a part of an election campaign, although it has direct political implications, but an open plan to persecute all Serbs and destroy everything that is Serb, in front of the eyes of the entire world.

The question arises - what is the use of EULEX and KFOR if Serbs do not have basic security in their homes, if they are subjected to institutional violence, if warrants are issued for them and they are persecuted without any legal basis and procedures prescribed by law?"

J.A., the latest Serb to get arrested by the Pristina institutions, is employed in the police department in Vranje - a family man who has been commuting between Kosovska Kamenica and Vranje for years.
