The weather is much more pleasant in the north and west of Serbia today with temperatures that will not exceed 30 degrees Celsius, while it is still hot, up to 35 degrees, in the south and east.

Starting tomorrow and until the end of the week, it will be sunny with the heatwave picking up again. The hottest weather this week awaits us during the weekend - on Sunday, the air temperature will go up to 40 degrees.

Nights when temperatures never drop below 20 degrees are expected in Belgrade and in the northern province of Vojvodina until the end of the week.

The start of next week will bring only a slight cooling and stronger northwesterly wind, but only some places will see showers with thunder.

In the coming days, special caution is advised due to very high UV index values, especially from 10:00 until 16:00 hours. People are advised to spend no more than 10 minutes in the sun without adequate protection during that part of the day.

Caution is also recommended because of risk of heatstroke.
