Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) have arrested Z.K. (19), who last night around 10:25 pm, together with another person, burst into a cafe in Vracar, central Belgrade, with lit flares.

One person was injured in the ensuing incident.

According to information from the investigation, the suspect is charged with a serious crime against general safety.

His accomplice is on the run, and the police are undertaking intensive measures to identify and locate the other person who participated in this event.

The suspect under arrest will spend up to 48 hours in police custody, after which he will be brought to the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade for questioning, along with a criminal complaint.

The investigation continues, and the police are examining all the circumstances of the attack, as well as possible motives, while collecting evidence from the scene and footage from the nearby surveillance cameras.

The suspects ran into the cafe with lit flares, attacked the owner, and then set fire to the establishment. People were screaming and running away, and it is sheer luck that no one was injured.

Flares were also thrown into another cafe in Vracar last night.
