Serbian police carry out major operation: Suspected members of Montenegrin Kavac Clan arrested

In a major joint operation with the Serbian Ministry of Interior (MUP) TOK and the FAST teams for targeted searches, criminal investigations police (UKP) officers located, identified and detained members of an organized criminal group known as the Kavac (Kavacki) Clan.
Those arrested are citizens of Montenegro Marko Kilibarda and Aleksandar Paunovic. They are suspected associates of Radoje Zvicer. The Montenegrin police had a red Interpol notice issued for them, for the crime of aggravated murder.
As members of the Kavac Clan, they are accused of kidnapping Milo Radulovic aka Kapetan, and of aggravated murder of Damir Hodzic and Adis Spahic. If put on trial and found guilty, the suspects face up to 40 years in prison.
Marko Kilibarda is also suspected of murdering Vasa Delibasic in the town of Bar in 2018.
During the search of apartments in several locations in Belgrade, a revolver and two forged Montenegrin personal documents were found by the Serbian police.
The pair will be charged in Serbia with the criminal offenses of illegal production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosives, and forging personal ID.
