Serbian heroes putting out Montenegro fires: They arrived in under 2 hours and have been flying since dawn

On Monday, Serbia sent a Kamov Ka-32 firefighting helicopter and seven members of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) to Montenegro to help put out wildfires raging across the country.
Yesterday, Serbian heroes were tirelessly helping Montenegrin firefighters and soldiers, and this morning, since early dawn, they are back in action.
Marko Hrsevljak from the the Serbian Interior Ministry (MUP) Helicopter Unit spoke this morning from Podgorica to say that our helicopter deployed there has been operating since the early hours of the morning.
"We have been working since the early hours of the morning north of Podgorica," he told RTS.
According to Hrsevljak. yesterday it took the unit's members under two hours to arrive in Montenegro and start fighting the wildfires.
"We took off from the Nikola Tesla airport (in Belgrade) at 15:37, we arrived in Podgorica at 17:06. We scouted the locations along the way," he said.
According to Hrsevljak, more than 20 flights were carried out yesterday.
"We are lucky that the Moraca River has enough water so that we can take it nearby, and act immediately in that area," he said.
The MUP's Helicopter Unit has been deployed several times this summer in Serbia putting out wildfires, while and in previous years these officers were helping their colleagues in Greece and North Macedonia.
