Aleksandar Vucic and Sergei Lavrov speak about situation in Kosovo and Metohija and attacks on RS

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic today spoke by phone with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

They discussed the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), and further improvement of economic cooperation between Serbia and Russia.

In a post on Instagram, Vucic stated that he and Lavrov above all spoke about the political situation in the region, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the crisis caused by constant attacks on the Serb Republic (RS, Serb entity in BiH) that are coming from the outside.

"I also informed Minister Lavrov about the internal situation, especially when it comes to the situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the attempts to constantly persecute our population in their centuries-old homes, as well as the silence of the majority of the international community," Aleksandar Vucic stated in a post on the "buducnostsrbijeav" account.

The president pointed out that in a "long and cordial conversation" he and Sergei Lavrov discussed bilateral relations, agreed on further improvement of economic cooperation, and participation in joint projects.

"At the same time, we analyzed political relations, with the desire to further improve communication and cooperation in various forums, organizations and institutions at the international level. It was agreed that we will continue to work on developing our relations in various areas," said Vucic.
