Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Sunday strongly condemned a terrorist attack that targeted the Jewish community in Sydney, Australia.

"Serbia condemns in the strongest terms the horrific terrorist attack against the Jewish community in Sydney, carried out during a Hanukkah gathering," Vucic stated in a post on X, and added:

"Terrorism and antisemitism have no place in our world. The Republic of Serbia stands firmly with Jewish communities everywhere and remains unequivocally committed to the safety and dignity of its Jewish citizens."

At least 15 people, including one of the two attackers, were killed in the shooting on Bondi Beach in Sydney, local police said.

It is believed that the target of the attack was a Hanukkah event, while police sources think that the attack had been planned for months, according to Australian portal NewsWire. One assailant was shot dead at the scene, while the other was wounded and is in custody.
