Blizzard coming to Serbia, HERE is when: Up to 30 centimeters of new snow, SUB-ZERO days are ahead
Orthodox Christmas, celebrated on January 7 in Serbia, is bringing true winter to our country. A new wave of precipitation is expected.
There will be moderate to heavy snowfall in most parts of Serbia, while temperatures are expected to be very low, including sub-zero days - when they will never reach above zero degrees Celsius, even during daytime.
Some places will also have freezing rain in the morning.
The highs in most areas will range from -4 to 0°C, in Belgrade around -2°C.
It will rain and be warmer only in the extreme south and southeast of Serbia, with temperatures up to 10 degrees. However, freezing rain is expected in the northern regions of southern and southeastern Serbia, followed by snow on the mountains.
During Christmas Day, 10 to 30 centimeters of new is are expected to fall in most of the country - 10 to 20 centimeters in Belgrade.
Only the south and southeast of Serbia will still have no snow cover.
On Thursday, the precipitation will stop, but this will be followed by a SUB-ZERO day.
Friday morning will bring frost with temperatures dropping to minus 10 degrees. During the day, it will get warmer and go above zero.
The weekend will be slightly warmer, but there will be more clouds and rain, sleet and snow.
