Ruling SNS party leader and presidential advisor Milos Vucevic said today that the threats that some opposition politicians made on Orthodox Christmas (Jan. 7) against President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic are "monstrous".

"Representatives of the thieving former authorities who devastated and destroyed the country would like to arrest or kill President Vucic, because that is the only way they can continue with their criminal, looting policy. Nothing is sacred to them," Vucevic stated in a post on X.

He was reacting to a statement made by Srdjan Milivojevic, the leader of the Democratic Party, who said that he would "arrest Vucic, like Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro."

Vucevic said that the monstrous threats made on the great Orthodox holiday of Christmas follow the "blockader" (anti-governemt protestors) pattern - "no faith or morals, ideas, solutions."

Milivojevic earlier in the day spoke for N1 to compare Vucic to Maduro, claiming that there is a similarity between them, and that Vucic "should end up in prison."
