Vucevic: After the latest round of arrests and suspensions, Serbs in Montenegro know where they stand
Serbia's ruling SNS leader and presidential adviser Milos Vucevic said today that the Serbs in Montenegro now, after the latest round of arrests and suspensions, know where they stand.
As the head of the Service for Citizens in Podgorica and the leader of Free Montenegro Vladislav Dajkovic got suspended, Vucevic stated in a post on X that changes in Montenegro would not have happened in 2020 without Serb votes, nor would the current the mayor of Podgorica, Sasa Mujovic, have that job without the votes of the Serb councilors.
Vucevic also noted that Milojko Spajic would not have become Prime Minister of Montenegro without Serb deputies.
"And now the Serbs are being arrested again and suspended as if August 8, 2020 never happened? To put it mildly - it's not fair. But now at least the Serbs in Montenegro know where they stand," stressed Vucevic.
The mayor of Podgorica, Sasa Mujovic, initiated a disciplinary procedure and suspended the head of the Service for Citizen, Vladislav Dajkovic, until the procedure has been completed. This happened after Dajkovic attended a protest of residents of Botun against the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in this suburban part of Podgorica.
It has been announced that the disciplinary procedure was initiated on suspicion that Dajkovic did not perform his official duties on December 31 last year, during work hours, because he was at the protest instead.
