Serbian PM Macut offers condolences to Canadian counterpart after tragedy in British Columbia
Serbian PM Djuro Macut today offered his condolences to Canadian PM Mark Carney, as well as to the citizens and families of the victims of a tragic event that shook that country, with the message that Serbia shares the pain of the people of Canada.
"It is with sincere sadness that we received the news about this terrible tragedy that happened in the Canadian town of Tumbler Ridge in British Columbia, where a number of people lost their lives in a high school shooting. Serbia shares the pain of the people of Canada and stands with all those affected by this heavy loss," the Serbian prime minister's message reads.
He wished those injured a speedy and successful recovery, the Office for Cooperation with the Media of the Government of Serbia said in a statement.
The Tumbler Ridge high school shooting claimed the lives of ten people, including the attacker, while at least 25 were injured.
