FM Marko Djuric and his Cypriot counterpart Constantinos Kombos discuss escalation of Middle East conflict

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Marko Djuric on Tuesday had a telephone conversation with his Cypriot counterpart Constantinos Kombos.

The conversation focused on the current events and the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.

The interlocutors exchanged opinions on broader regional circumstances and emphasized the urgent need for a prompt restoration of peace and stability, the Ministry said in a statement, adding that Djuric expressed full solidarity with the people of Cyprus and condemned any actions that threaten the security of the island.

The part of the conversation dedicated to bilateral cooperation focused on reaffirming the deep-rooted friendship and strong mutual support, as well as shared commitment to further strengthening the cooperation grounded in the principles and values of international law.
