Sooner than you thought! Temperatures to rise to 20°C, HERE is when: SPRING and sun are coming back to Serbia
The end of March and the beginning of April brought fall-like weather and heavy rainfall to Serbia, while the mountains were covered with snow.
In many areas it rained as much as it normally does in a month, in Podrinje as much as in two months, while 40 centimeters of new snow fell on Mt. Kopaonik only yesterday, bringing the snow depth to 83 cm - more than during the winter.
Rainy weather under the influence of a cyclone from the Ionian Sea, as well as cloudy precipitation systems within it are arriving from the northeast. Snow will fall in areas higher than 1,400 meters above sea level.
An additional 10 to 20 liters of rain is expected today, in the west of Serbia up to 30.
Friday remains cool, with temperatures up to 10 degrees Celsius. Those values are 5-7 degrees lower than average.
The exception is the north of Vojvodina, where the sky is clear, so Sombor and Subotica are reporting 15 degrees, Subotica 17.
Clear weather in the north of the province of Vojvodina is a prelude to stabilization in the rest of the country.
Starting tomorrow, the anticyclone will strengthen, air pressure will drop significantly and the weather is expected to stabilize, with an influx of significantly warmer air mass from the southwest and the Mediterranean.
It will be sunny in the north of Serbia on Saturday, bringing spring weather during the day.
In other parts of Serbia, it will be cloudy in the afternoon, gloomy in the morning, with light rain in some places, but the sky will clear in the afternoon.
The highs tomorrow will range from 14 degrees in the south to 20 degrees in the north of Serbia, primarily in Vojvodina, and up to 18 degrees in Belgrade.
The average maximum temperatures for the beginning of April are from 14 to 17 degrees, so they will be around and above the said values in the coming period.
North-westerly wind will blow tomorrow as well, weakening towards the end of the day.
So, as of tomorrow, the weather will stabilize and the spring will return to Serbia.
It will be warmest on Monday, with temperatures reaching over 20 degrees.
