During the meeting, held after the first session of the strategic dialogue between Serbia and Israel, the importance of establishing a strategic dialogue as a historic step forward and the strong message it sends about strengthening the ties between the two countries was discussed.
The head of Serbian diplomacy pointed out that relations between Serbia and Israel are characterized by traditional friendship and mutual understanding, based on the historical closeness between the Serb and the Jewish peoples. He recalled that the Serb people have always stood by the Jewish people in difficult historical circumstances, as well as that the Jewish community in Serbia enjoys full respect today, which further strengthens mutual trust and is an important foundation for good relations between the two countries.
Special attention was paid to economic cooperation, and it was noted that Israel, as a strong and highly developed economy, has a significant potential for investments, while Serbia with its stable economic growth offers a favorable environment and great potential for further attracting foreign investments.
