Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Tuesdaz that the arrest of the directors of healthcare and educational institutions of the Republic of Serbia in the area of central Kosovo and Metohija by order of Allbin Kurti is an attempt by Pristina to exert unacceptable pressure and intimidation of Serb voters in those areas.

"Bringing in the directors of healthcare and educational institutions of the Republic of Serbia from the area of central Kosovo and Metohija by order of Allbin Kurti, is an attempt by Pristina to exert unacceptable pressure and intimidate Serb voters in these areas, so that Kurti could promote his favorite, Nenad Rasic, in the upcoming elections," Petkovic said, according to astatement issued by the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.

Petkovic stressed that all international representatives, as well as the mediator in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, EU's Peter Sorensen, were immediately informed about the illegal and unfounded kidnapping of Serb healthcare and education workers, demanding that they get urgently involved in this matter.

He also pointed out that Kurti is once again causing crises and tensions and is running a political campaign targeting the Serb people, because he has nothing else to offer to his voters.

"His guy Rasic has now demonstrated how much of a servant he is to Pristina and Albin Kurti, his disgrace will remain written in the annals of dishonor, and he will answer for his misdeeds in line with the law together with all those helping him in this," said Petkovic.

Petkovic added that the Serb people will respond to Albin Kurti in the elections on June 7 with even greater unity and an even stronger Serb victory, stressing that our people have shown throughout history that we are the strongest when that is most needed.

On Tuesday, five Serbs were detained in the Serb enclave of Gracanica in Kosovo and Metohija on suspicion that they allegedly committed the crime of "violating the free choice of voters" - and the prosecution of the provisional Pristina institutions announced that they were detained after the claims made by Minister of Communities and Return Nenad Rasic, who said the men allegedly "threatened voters ahead of the June 7 elections".
