Heatwave fit for JULY engulfs Serbia! This is when to expect change and cooler weather
A hot day in Serbia. Already at midday, temperatures were around 30 degrees Celsius across the country, with Kikinda and Negotin reporting 31°C. It was 29°C in Belgrade.
It is also very warm on the mountains. Zlatibor and Sjenica measured 23°C, Kopaonik 16°C.
The rest of the day will be sunny and very warm.
Maximum temperatures will range from 30 to 34°C, in Belgrade up to 32°C.
Most of the rest of Europe is also experiencing a heatwave, with temperatures reaching over 35 degrees. This weather has come Serbia from the west. Fortunately, it will not be as intense as there, and will get cooler from Thursday with the influx of a fresher air mass coming from the north.
Later in the afternoon and during the evening it will get cloudy in the north and west of Serbia, followed by showers and thunder.
Showers are first expected in the province Vojvodina, primarily in Backa, and later in the other said parts of Serbia.
After a tropical day, there will be conditions for showers with thunder during the evening and night in Belgrade as well.
During the rest of the night, showers with thunder will move over other parts of Serbia further south, where they will arrive on Thursday morning and before noon.
Today, there is very intense UV radiation, and people are adivised to stay out of the sun from 10:00 to 16:00 without adequate protection.
Starting on Thursday, the temperatures will drop by 5 to 7 degrees, but it will still be warm for this time of year.
