17-year-old from Belgrade arrested in Montenegro, suspected of attempted murder!
A minor from Belgrade was arrested last night in Herceg Novi, Montenegro, on suspicion of committing the criminal act of attempted murder.
"It was reported to the on-duty service of the Security Department of Herceg Novi last night that a person was injured with a knife near the Forte Mare fortress. Emergency medical personnel transported the injured person to the Meljine General Hospital for medical assistance, after which his identity was established, and he is a 17-year-old from Herceg Novi," the local police said in a statement.
According to tihs, during the investigation it was established that there was a physical conflict between the injured minor and an unknown male person, during which the suspected attacker inflicted multiple stab wounds to the victim's abdomen using a knife, after which he fled the scene.
"Police officers in Herceg Novi immediately launched an intensive search of the area of the entire town, where, thanks to a quick reaction and effectively implemented operational activities, a 17-year-old was located and held in the Savina settlement. He had a knife with blood-like traces in his possession," the statement added.
The suspect was then brought to the Herceg Novi police "in order to collect information and carry out further official measures and actions, during which it was determined that he was a minor, a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, from Belgrade."
The suspect is now detained on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of attempted murder.
During the day, the minor will be taken to the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica along with a criminal complaint, the statement said.
