Aleksandar Vucic to meet with Ukrainian parliament speaker, Ruslan Stefanchuk

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic will meet with Ukrainian Parliament (Rada) Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk. The meeting will start at 11:00 in the Palace of Serbia in New Belgrade, the presidential press office announced on Monday.

Stefanchuk arrived in Belgrade on Monday, where he will today participate in the Conference of Speakers of the Parliaments of European Union Candidate Countries. He was met at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport by President of the National Assembly of Serbia Ana Brnabic.

"I welcomed the president of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, at the airport. I am looking forward to tomorrow's conference of candidate countries for membership in the European Union, which is being organized at the initiative of the Assembly of Serbia and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Welcome to Serbia, dear friend!," Brnabic stated in a post on Instagram last evening.

Belgrade will host the conference today and on Wednesday. It will be officially opened by Ana Brnabic and Ruslan Stefanchuk, at the Palace of Serbia at noon today.

After that, the gathered parliament speakers will take part in a panel entitled, "European integration in new geopolitical circumstances: The role of the parliaments of candidate countries in strengthening European cooperation and improving the process of accession to the European Union".

Brnabic will hold a bilateral meeting with Stefanchuk on the sidelines of the conference later in the afternoon.
