Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met today in Belgrade with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu, with whom he discussed current security and political challenges in the region and Europe, as well as the role of the OSCE in preserving peace, security and mutual trust.

"We spoke about continuing cooperation, implementing reforms, improving the electoral process and strengthening democratic institutions. I pointed out that Serbia remains consistently committed to a responsible and serious policy, based on respecting international law, dialogue and peacekeeping," Vucic said in a post on Instagram.

He added that he and the OSCE secretary general also discussed the situation in the region, and that both assessed that stability and a responsible approach are of key importance for the future of the Western Balkans.

"I am convinced that only a responsible relationship, mutual respect and consistent respect for assumed obligations can contribute to strengthening trust and a more secure future for all citizens," President Vucic stated.
