Vulin: I am not in executive branch not because I did a bad job, but because EU said it was unacceptable
Movement of Socialists leader Aleksandar Vulin spoke at an event to mark 18 years since the founding of the party, to state that the Movement of Socialists did not exit the executive branch of power in Serbia because he was not doing a good job, but because the EU said more than clearly that his presence in the Government of Serbia was unacceptable.
"I am the first minister, perhaps in the history of Europe, where the EU officially insisted that I must not be part of the government, and that wish was fulfilled. We (the party) were excluded from the government because we stubbornly and persistently represented the Serbian world and because we did not take into account whether it was time for the Serbian world and whether it would be accepted by the EU or anyone else," Vulin said, and added:
"I don't think that it was good for Serbia that we were not part of the executive power, I believe the voice of those who unconditionally reject that the possibility of the unification of the Serbs is not our last and most important task, had to ne heard. I don't think it's good that there was not a single voice in our government who could say that we will not unconditionally accept to clash with Russia or China because of any (EU accession negotiations) cluster and any blackmail that may come."
He added that he is infinitely grateful to ruling SNS leader Milos Vucevic for being there and for understanding it.
"As he said, whatever happens, our paths will cross when it comes to an independent, militarily neutral Serbia, which will never recognize Kosovo, which will never abandon the Serb Republic, which will never stop taking care of all Serbs wherever they live, Serbia which will never impose sanctions against the Russian Federation, which, when that blackmail to impose sanctions against Chinese capital or China comes - and it will come - will never agree to that, Serbia which will take care of itself and never allow it to be forgotten what it was like and how it was," said the leader of the Movement of Socialists.
