K.G., a bus driver, who was stabbed by a colleague in the Belgrade neighborhood of Sremcica, has been transported to the Emergency Center with serious injuries, Telegraf.rs has learned.

According to information obtained by Telegraf.rs, the victim was taken to the hospital conscious and able to communicate, with the tendon on his hand cut, cuts on his upper arm, and a stab wound to his chest. He is currently receiving help at the Thoracic Surgery Department of the Emergency Center.

His colleague W.S. is suspected of committing the criminal offense of inflicting grievous bodily harm, and the case is being handled by the Second Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.

Both drivers are foreign nationals, and the conflict between them occurred when the K.G. informed their employer that W.S. had left the turnpike in Sremcica three minutes early.

After that, the drivers got out of their buses and started an altercation, during which K.G. first hit W.S. on the head with a metal rod, after which W.S. took out a knife he reportedly normally uses to "cut apples" and stabbed his colleague with it.

The police was called a little before noon yesterday by a passer-by who saw K.G. lying on the ground covered in blood. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

W.S. was taken to the police station without visible injuries, where he was questioned, and was then released pending the outcome of the proceedings.

Serbia's Department for Foreigners has also been informed about the incident, and it was determined that W.S. has registered residence in the Republic of Serbia.
