Family Atanasov from Svrljiga will next month lose their right to 9,500 dinars state aid they received when their son Philip (11) fell ill with leukemia two years ago.

- Doctors say that Philip beat leukemia. They said not to worry as this terrible disease won't bother Filip for at least four next years. If leukemia became a problem again, we would be entitled to state's help again which had been cancelled once Filip got better - says Suzana (37), the mother of this sick boy.

Apart from Philip, Susanna and her husband Nebojsa (41) have two more sons, Alex (3) and Andrew (4). It was a few years ago that she had lost her job as a seamstress in a knitwear company. Her husband is also unemployed, as the company he worked closed.

For the last two years we lived thanks to Filip. We lived on compensation fees paid for his leukemia – added Susana.

Family Atanasovi live in a basement they were given from an acquaintance in order not to sleep outside.

- Everything is damp and gloomy, but thank God, at least we're not on the street. If it weren't for our neighbors we would not have anything to eat - says Suzana crying.

Atanasov need clothes, shoes, food, decent housing. All who want to help can send their contributions through a bank account 325930080003283 626 in OTP Bank.
