SNOW to start MELTING on massive scale in Serbia! RHMZ warns because of one more thing: It's no joke!
The Republic Hydrometeorological Service (RHMZ) today called for caution due to the formation of ice in Serbia and announced that the weather will get warmer during the day, with the snow that fell over the past days now starting to melt.
According to the RHMZ, it will be moderately to completely overcast and warmer by the end of the day, while in the morning in the north and east of Serbia, light snow is expected in some places, and in others there could be light rain which may freeze on the ground.
Wind will be weak to moderate, south and south-westerly, in the afternoon and evening turning toward the west and north-west. The highest temperatures will be 1 degree Celsius in the east, up to 10 degrees in the west of Serbia.
As of Tuesday morning, Sjenica with minus 5 degrees and Dimitrovgrad and Mt. Kopaonik with minus 4 degrees are the coldest places in Serbia, while Belgrade is the warmest with 4 degrees, followed by Loznica with 3 degrees, and Zajecar and Kragujevac 2 degrees each.
As a reminder, this morning freezing rain is falling throughout the northern province of Vojvodina, especially in Banat, while snow is falling in the north of Backa and in the northeast, east and southeast Banat.
This precipitation system is moving along the north-west high current towards the south-east, so during the morning freezing rain and snow are expected mainly in the north-east of Serbia, especially in Banat, the lower Danube area, in the Branicevo District and in the east of Serbia, i.e. in Timocka and Negotinska Krajinas.
